Well I have viewed the movie over and I say that we should release it! It’s a great movie and the kids would love it. There are a lot of things in the movie that I love about it. Like they just don’t keep the characters as they are. They change them around into these cool characters that the kids would love to see. An example would be Little Red Riding Hood. In the original fairy tales she is this little girl who is taking goodies to her grandmother. But in the movie she is this cool spy who saves the city and fights enemies, now that is a little kid’s dream to be a hero.
Before, people in England saw that fairy tales were horrible and taught their children bad behavior. Like the parents said that Goldilocks and the three bears talked about stealing because she went into their house, ate their food and slept in their beds. Some other people said that Rumplestiltskin held hostages and forced slavery. But people only think that because their thinking to much into the fairy tales. Their suppose to Build Emotional Resiliency or tell life lessons in fairy tales that are a hard way to tell Parents to their children, plus many other things. In my opinion, I think that maybe if more movies were made like HoodWinked & HoodWinked Too, that they could see that fairy tales aren’t really that bad of a thing. Like in HoodWinked Too, they showed Little Red, The Wolf, And the Grandma as the good guys. Even though in fairy tales, the wolf is the bad guy but they changed it so that the wolf helped them and he were the good guy too, along with a side-kick.
The movie also had a lot of use of the traditional fairy tales characteristics. They had the fairy tales of the three little pigs, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Hansel and Gretel, etc. In the movie they used Hansel and Gretel going to get eaten by the evil witch. Red still had to deliver her basket of goods but not to her grandma, Jack and the Beanstalk is still a big giant, but his Beanstalk is changed into club. A lot of things are the same but it still has the fairy tale part that makes it recognizable.
There are many more things but for me, I think it would be great if they release the movie. Maybe release more movies that are just like it. That would make it really better for the people from England, because then maybe they can get a different view on it if they change it into a better movie. -Sincerely, Jinexilys Connelly
